The deliverable will be an electric scooter which is ready to use throughout the day. It will focus on: Empowering, by providing a smart system for consumers to transport themselves in their short trips the most efficient way. Reliability, by providing a fool proof and adaptive solution. Control, through an ease of use and inherently safe platform
MEeT The X-SCOOTER
The design of the X-scooter differentiates itself through its sturdy frame protects, which protect the more fragile internal components. Because of this approach the overall device has become very sturdy and durable with an overall clean, elegant and easy to understand look and feel. The device consists of a singular main pipe in which all interactions are happening with the user, from the clasp at the front to fold the scooter down, the integrated headlight, to the head where all the controls and UI are integrated.
EASY FOLD
The X-scooter can be easily folded down by releasing the latch. allow for the main pipe to be folded backwards and be kept in place via the integrated formlock at the rear fender.
INTEGRATED BATTERY
By folding down the main pipe you uncover the battery pack which can be simply pulled out to be replaced. Gently pull on the tab to unlock it.
INTERFACE
The interface has been simplified as much as possible showing only the general navigation and how far along the journey you are. The big arrow notifies the people of which turn to take and the distance notifies when this will be coming up. The dots at the top indicate the charge left in the battery.
INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS
Because of how the X-scooter was designed all cables, electronics, screws and technical solutions are integrated internally, ensuring durability, ease of instalment (since it is installed as modules), reducing complexity and a clean overall solution.
FORM LOCK
Integrated at the rear fender is also a form lock which will hold the main pipe in place when it is in folded down position. This can be done through the natural flexibility that comes from the shape of the fender wanting to push upwards and allowing for it to latch below the display.
