HYGIENIC VAPORIZOR FOR ON THE GO
The smart vape is a vision design focused on hygiene and ease of use.
PROJECT OUTLINE
Flöw is a personal project made in 2019 about how E-cigarettes and Vaporisers could be made more hygienic. It has no connection to any brand. My personal goal in this project was to further develop conceptualising, 3D modelling (Rhino), design research, engineering and rendering skills
CHALLENGE
On the go Vape products are often quite bulky and look stigmatising with shining lights and bright colours. Some Vaporisers have caps to cover the mouthpiece during transport, to prohibit dirt and keep the mouthpiece clean, but caps tend to get lost. What if we could offer a minimal elegant and above all Hygienic solution for vaping on the go.
RESULT
The result of this is Flöw. A compact hygienic vaporiser for on the go. Simply rotate the lid and the mouthpiece will turn in to place and activate the device. Lights at the front of the product will indicate the battery status and when the device is ready to be used.
VISION
CURRENTLY Vaporizers ARE DESigned to grab attention through bright colors and lights, this WHILST people use them to relax. What if we could design a smart vaporizer that not only looks easthetically simple and pleasing, is Hygienic in use but can also enhance the overall vaping experience?
LIGHT INDICATION
The front of Flöw is decorated with an LED strip that will indicate the battery status of the device and when it is ready to use (heated up). During charging the light flashes and gets solid when charged full.
Hygienic mouthpiece
Through the circular shape of the device the mouthpiece can rotate away internally to protect and cover the mouthpiece. This will ensure that it keeps clean and no dirt can get in during transport, thus increasing the hygienic experience of the product.
USB C charging
At the bottom of the product a USB type C connector is placed. Simply plug in a USB C cable to charge the product. This was chosen to ensure compatibility with most common day smart devices people carry with them, so you can charge the product wherever you are.
